FRIDAY JULY 12 MESSAGE:
We have been looking at what a crucified life means. We have also identified Jesus, our Role Model, regarding a crucified life. Through His death on the Cross and His life, Jesus showed us what a life of obedience, commitment, dedication and consecration involves.

He was totally obedient and surrendered to the will of the Father without any clause or claim. This, of course, led Him into glory, and God gave Him a name that is above all names (Philippians 2:11). God exalted Him far above all principalities and powers, and gave him dominion over all and everything.

How can you live this kind of life successfully in Christ? It starts with a total surrender. It means putting all of you on the altar of God as a sacrifice, holding back nothing (Romans 12:1). It means laying down your will, intellect, desires, ambitions, pursuits, achievements and possessions at the feet of the Master.

You are no longer in charge of your life. Rather, you live by divine instructions and are led by the Spirit of God. It means you begin to live a new life. You become different from what you used to do and who you used to be. At this point in your life, you are sharing in the crucifixion of Christ, as your old self is dead in Him through the cross.

You are no longer your former self, but a new creature in whom Christ lives. You carry the Spirit of God in you, Christ indwells you. As a result, you are now living by faith, trusting God through Christ Jesus for your entire life. This is a total transformation and can only be made possible by God as you encounter Christ and begin to live a crucified life.

Now that you are living a crucified life and are sharing in the resurrection of Christ, you should constantly seek the things that are above, eternal and not the temporary things here on earth. I mean there should be a divine shift.

Your new personality is now hidden in Christ because you are now dead to the world and the earthly cravings, as listed in Colossians 3:8-9.

You are also advised to put on the new nature (Colossians 3:10, 12-14), and continually renew yourself in the knowledge of Christ.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1) My Father, forgive me for every conscious and unconscious sin of disobedience in me, in the name of Jesus.

2) Whatever wants to make me an enemy of the cross, come out of my life and die now, in the name of Jesus.

3) Holy Spirit, empty me of myself, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4) O God, arise and kill the blockers of grace and mercy in my life, in the name of Jesus.

5) Power to set my face on the things above and not below, come upon me now by fire, in the name of Jesus.

6) Lord Jesus, help me to find myself in You, in the name of Jesus.

7) My Father, make me Your living sanctuary, in the name of Jesus.
