MFM 2024: OUR YEAR OF OPEN DOORS & DIVINE SPEED

PRAISE & WORSHIP:

Through the love of God our Saviour,

all will be well.

Free and changeless is his favour,

all, all is well.

Precious is the blood that healed us,

perfect is the grace that sealed us,

strong the hand stretched forth to shield us,

all must be well.

2 Though we pass through tribulation,

all will be well.

Ours is such a full salvation,

all, all is well.

Happy, still in God confiding,

fruitful, if in Christ abiding,

holy, through the Spirit’s guiding,

all must be well.

3 We expect a bright tomorrow,

all will be well.

Faith can sing through days of sorrow,

'All, all is well.'

On our Father’s love relying,

Jesus every need supplying,

in our living, in our dying,

all must be well.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 87, Psalms 88, Psalms 89, Galatians 5, Galatians 6.

MEMORY VERSE: “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.” – Proverbs 24:16 (KJV)

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:

Patience and persistence are indisputable godly virtues needed to live a successful Christian life.

PROPHETIC WORD, 7 JULY:

RECEIVE THE POWER TO PERSIST IN RIGHTEOUSNESS ALL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Luke 18:1-18 (KJV)

1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

MESSAGE, SUNDAY JULY 7:

To persist can simply be defined as an act of being resolute at doing or accomplishing a thing. As it is in the physical, so it is in the spiritual, even more. It is imminent failure or calamity if and when a child of God loses the power or strength to persist in the things of the Spirit and in life generally.

God expects us to hold on tenaciously and not give up until we overcome. However, there are situations that could render even the strongest of men powerless and hopeless.

The Bible states that affliction makes a wise man mad. Yet, Psalm 34:19 gives us the consolation that God is able to deliver the righteous from the multiple afflictions around him or her. This simply implies that for those who believe in God, they should endeavour to persist in faith, trusting God for their total deliverance, victory, healing, prosperity and much more, in the name of Jesus.

It is an unfortunate thing to lose guard or get weary in the place of prayer and the word of God which are the most efficacious antidotes to our breakthroughs as Christians.

Proverb 24:10 says that to faint in the days of adversity shows that your strength is small. Glory to God, as we discover another encouraging verse of scripture in today’s memory verse. It then means that as long as God is on your side, when you fall, there is hope to rise again, even up to seven times.

Little wonder that the widow in our Fire Scripture today remained persistent in her plea to the judge to avail her of her adversaries. How much more as Christians, you and I have a Father who is always ready to attend to our situation whenever we lift our voices to Him in prayer.

According to Matthew 7: 7, when you ask you receive; when you seek Him, you find Him; and when you knock fervently the doors of grace, He opens and ushers you into His glorious presence, all in the name of Jesus. This is an act of persistence in prayer!

Persistence is needed in every area of life. This is a fruit of the Spirit called long-suffering. Persistent people are good finishers; they persist and persevere in every good and godly aspects of life.

PRAYER POINTS:
