Turkish Super Lig club Hatayspor
has congratulated Fisayo Dele-Bashiru on his maiden invitation by Nigeria.
Dele-Bashiru was among the 25
players listed by Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro for this month’s
friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
“We congratulate our 22-year-old
player Dele Bashiru who was called up to the Nigeria national team for the
first time and wish continued success”, the club said in a statement.
The Manchester City trainee has
been one of the standout performers in the Turkish top flight this season.
The midfielder, who transferred to
Hatayspor from Sky Bet Championship club Sheffield Wednesday in July has scored
four goals and registered two assists in seven league appearances for his new
club.
His elder brother, Tom
Dele-Bashiru was part of the Flying Eagles squad that represented Nigeria at
